A professional facial is a deep cleansing, exfoliation and mask treatment for skin that looks dull, congested, dehydrated or tired. We offer eight facial treatments at La Beauty Boutique in North York, Toronto. Every visit starts with a skin assessment, so we can choose the steps for your skin’s unique needs and tell you when a simpler facial will do.

Facials at a glance

  • Appointment time: 45 to 90 minutes.
  • Price: from $85 (see the table below).
  • Best for: dullness, blackheads, breakouts, dehydration and early signs of aging.
  • Downtime: none for most facials; slight pinkness after extractions.
  • Results: glowing skin the same day and a clearer complexion with regular visits.
  • Sessions: one before an event, or one every 4 to 6 weeks for upkeep.
  • Not today if: you have a cold sore, sunburn or an active skin infection.

Rejuvenating Facial

Fanny Garnier performs the Rejuvenating Facial herself, drawing on more than 27 years of experience. After cleansing and exfoliation, an enzyme peel brightens the skin, and she extracts blackheads, milia and pimples.

Cooling globes enhance circulation, LED light therapy is matched to your skin, and leg and scalp massages close the session. It suits clients recovering from surgery or a long, stressful period.

Instant Glow Facial

The Instant Glow Facial suits skin that looks dull and tired rather than broken out. It starts with a skin analysis, followed by cleansing, steam if your skin tolerates it, and gentle exfoliation. Extractions clear blackheads, milia and pimples, and we choose the mask based on the analysis.

Next comes LED light therapy in red, blue, white, green or yellow, chosen for your skin, along with a face massage. Most clients leave with smoother skin and more radiance.

Hydrating Facial

Our Hydrating Facial is for skin that feels tight, flaky or dull from dehydration, a common complaint once Toronto homes turn the heating on. The treatment nourishes the skin with moisture and nutrients to restore its balance, so it feels soft, supple and plump again. It is suitable for all skin types, including oily skin that is dehydrated underneath.

Teen Facial

We designed the Teen Facial for teenagers dealing with acne, oily skin and congestion. Gentle deep cleansing, exfoliation and careful extractions unclog pores without stripping the skin. We also show your teen a simple skincare routine to help keep breakouts under control between visits.

Forma Facial - Skin Tightening

The Forma Facial is one of our advanced facials: it adds radio-frequency skin tightening to a facial for clients whose main concern is firmness rather than breakouts or dullness. The InMode Forma handpiece gently warms the deeper layers of the skin to encourage new collagen, which can gradually improve elasticity. The treatment is non-invasive, uses no needles and fits into a regular facial visit.

Men's Facial

Our Men’s Facial is designed for skin that is shaved most days. Deep cleansing and exfoliation remove the oil and dead skin cells that can trap hairs, and careful extractions clear congested pores.

A cooling hydrogel mask under the eyes finishes the treatment. It suits men who want clearer, calmer skin without a long routine.

Facial with Microdermabrasion

This treatment pairs a customized facial with microdermabrasion, a gentle, non-invasive device treatment that buffs away dead surface cells. It suits rough skin texture, uneven tone and the look of enlarged pores, and it helps the serum that follows absorb better.

Facial with Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning uses a small blade to remove fine vellus hair, often called peach fuzz, along with dry, dead skin cells. This leaves the skin smoother, so makeup applies more evenly and serums absorb more easily. It is a temporary form of hair removal.

Who Is a Good Candidate for a Facial?

Most adults and teens are good candidates for a facial, as long as their skin is not broken, sunburned or infected.

A facial is a good fit for:

  • Oily or congested skin: blackheads and clogged pores.

  • Teens: about 85% of people aged 12 to 24 get at least minor acne, according to the American Academy of Dermatology.

  • Dehydrated or sensitive skin: tightness or flaking from winter heating.

Wait or choose another treatment if you have:

  • Recent isotretinoin use: tell us first, as exfoliation may need to wait.

  • A changing mole: see a physician first.

  • Melasma or rosacea as the main concern: a targeted treatment plan suits specific skin concerns like these better.

How Does a Facial Work?

A facial works in steps: cleansing removes oil and impurities, exfoliation lifts dead skin cells, extractions clear pores, and a mask or serum hydrates while LED light helps soothe the skin.

Hydration matters most in a Toronto winter. Environment and Climate Change Canada’s climate normals for Toronto Pearson show a mean vapour pressure of 0.37 kPa in January, compared with 1.73 kPa in July. That is about one-fifth of the summer moisture in the air, before indoor heating dries it further.

What Happens at Your Facial Appointment?

Every facial appointment follows four stages, adjusted to your skin on the day.

  1. Skin assessment: we review your skin type, concerns, recent treatments and home care.

  2. Cleanse and exfoliate: cleansing, then enzyme, device or blade exfoliation.

  3. Extract and treat: extractions where needed, then a mask or serum.

  4. Finish: LED light combined with infrared, massage and products matched to your skin.

Downtime and Skin Care After a Facial

Most facial treatments have no downtime, so you can go back to work the same day.

How Often Should You Get a Facial?

One facial is enough before an event. For upkeep, regular facials every 4 to 6 weeks suit most skin types and help maintain skin health.

The Glow membership costs $249 per cycle and includes one treatment, such as the Oxygen Reset, plus 15% off other facials.

Facial FAQs

Expect $180 to $310 for most full facials at our North York clinic, and $400 when a chemical peel is added.

Yes. Extractions and deep cleansing clear blackheads and calm mild breakouts, while persistent acne needs a planned acne treatment course.

A facial can soften the look of fine lines through hydration. Deeper wrinkles respond better to an anti-aging facial plan with radio frequency, microneedling or Aerolase laser treatment.

The most effective facial is the one matched to your skin condition on the day, which is why every appointment starts with a skin assessment.
