- Downtime: red and warm like a light sunburn for the first 24 hours; settled for most clients within 2 to 5 days

Who is a good candidate?
Microneedling suits many skin types dealing with uneven texture, shallow acne scars, enlarged-looking pores or early fine lines. It is also a good option for acne, active or not – we can needle through breakouts, and it helps them heal faster. Every treatment starts with a consultation and screening, and there are moments when we will recommend waiting: a rosacea flare, or irritated or sunburned skin.
Microneedling
Microneedling makes your skin glow after just one treatment, and continues to boost the appearance of your complexion for months afterward. There are many benefits of microneedling: reduces the appearance of lines and wrinkles, scar treatment, sun damage, anti-aging, shrinks pores, increases effectiveness of topical skincare treatments, fights stretch marks, rosacea reduction, acne improvements, and less downtime than laser or chemical peel treatments. For more noticeable results, we recommend at least 3 microneedling sessions.
Microneedling aftercare
- No makeup for at least 3 days, ideally a week, and no unnecessary touching for 24 hours
- No retinoids, acids, vitamin C or scrubs for at least five days and longer if skin has not settled
- No hard workouts, sauna, steam or heavy sweating for 48 hours
- No pools or hot tubs for 72 hours
- Use a fresh pillowcase and do not pick flaking skin
- Wear a hat and use mineral sunscreen once the skin has closed and feels settled
Frequently asked questions
When will I see results?
Skin can look refreshed after initial healing, but collagen changes develop over several weeks. Scar, pore and texture goals usually need a series spaced to allow repair.
Between sessions, many clients keep their glow going with a HydraFacial. Read our guide: What Results Can You Expect from a HydraFacial?
Can I wear makeup?
No makeup for at least 3 days – ideally a full week while your skin heals. Sunscreen can start on day 3, and daily after that. If skin is still open, hot or irritated, give it more time, and use clean tools and suitable products when you start again.
Do you use exosomes or PDRN?
Yes. Exosome and PDRN add-ons are applied right after microneedling, while the microchannels are still open, so they reach where they work best.
- Faster healing and less downtime
- An extra collagen boost on top of what microneedling already triggers
- Calmer redness and a stronger glow in the days after
We will recommend the add-on that fits your skin during your visit.
How microneedling works
The device moves a sterile cartridge of fine needles across the skin at a depth chosen for the treatment area and concern. These controlled microchannels begin a repair response that supports collagen and elastin over the following weeks. Improvements develop gradually rather than appearing as an instant polish. What happens during your appointment?
Consultation and screening
We review your goals, medications, recent procedures, cold-sore history, tendency to form keloids, pregnancy or breastfeeding, and any active irritation or infection.Personalized treatment
Depth and technique are adjusted by area. Every treatment includes the neck. The under-eye and upper-eyelid areas are treated carefully when screening confirms those delicate areas are suitable. We use a fresh single-use cartridge and a sterile hyaluronic-acid glide appropriate for open microchannels.Downtime: what to expect day by day
First 24 hours
Skin can look and feel like a light sunburn: red, warm, tight and sensitive. Avoid unnecessary touching, makeup and unapproved products.Days 2 to 3
Redness begins to settle. Mild dryness, tightness or flaking can occur. Cleanse gently, moisturize as directed and do not pick or exfoliate.Days 3 to 5
The surface may look calmer while the barrier continues rebuilding. Keep skincare gentle and protect skin from the sun. Restart retinoids, acids and strong vitamin C only when the skin is fully settled and we have advised it.Acne, rosacea and melasma
Microneedling can improve the look of shallow acne scars, post-acne texture and enlarged-looking pores. We can also treat active breakouts, and microneedling helps them heal faster.
What can microneedling help with?
- Shallow acne scars and post-acne texture
- Enlarged-looking pores
- Uneven texture
- Fine lines and early signs of aging
