After a skin screening, we treat the full face and the neck every time, using a new sterile single-use cartridge and a sterile hyaluronic-acid glide.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Microneedling?
Microneedling suits most skin types and tones. It works best for clients whose main skin concerns are acne scars, uneven texture or early signs of aging, once a consultation confirms the skin is calm. Good fit:- Shallow and rolling acne scars, plus post-acne texture

How Does Microneedling Build Collagen and Elastin?
Microneedling, also called collagen induction therapy, is a minimally invasive treatment, not surgery. Fine needles make tiny punctures, a controlled micro-injury that starts the body’s natural healing response.
This repair boosts collagen production for weeks, so the treatment gradually improves skin texture, the appearance of scars and overall skin quality. The AAD reports that acne scars can fade by 50% to 70% over a series of treatments.
What Happens at Your Microneedling Appointment?
A microneedling appointment at our clinic follows five steps:
Consultation: we review your goals, medical history and recent procedures, explain the risks, record your answers as Ontario requires before an invasive procedure, and agree on a treatment plan.
Needle depth by area: we tailor the depth separately to the cheeks, forehead, neck and, when suitable, the under-eye skin.
Treatment: we use a professional microneedling device with a new sterile single-use cartridge, opened for your session, over a sterile hyaluronic-acid glide.
Optional add-on: we apply exosomes or PDRN while the microchannels are still open.
Finish: a calming face mask with light therapy and a scalp massage.
Microneedling Downtime and Post-Treatment Aftercare
Microneedling has minimal downtime. Redness on the treated skin peaks on the first day, then fades as skin healing continues.

Makeup: skip it for at least 3 days, or a full week if you can.
Active ingredients: pause retinoids, acids, vitamin C and scrubs for at least five days.
Sweat and water: avoid workouts and saunas for 48 hours, and pools or hot tubs for 72 hours.
Sun: wear a hat at first, then add mineral sunscreen once the skin has sealed.
How Many Sessions Do Acne Scars and Texture Need?
We recommend at least three microneedling treatments for most clients, whether the goal is acne scars or uneven texture. For acne scar treatment, the AAD cites 3 to 5 treatments spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart, with visible improvement within a few weeks and full results after several months.
How Much Does Microneedling Cost in North York?
Full-face microneedling with the neck included costs $450 per session at our North York clinic. Exosome and PDRN add-ons are priced separately.

The AAD describes microneedling as suitable for all skin tones. On darker skin, the main risk is post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, so our clinic plans around it with screening and a conservative needle depth.
Yes. Microneedling falls under the definition of an invasive procedure in Ontario Regulation 136/18, and its safety rules require sterile single-use sharps and a record of each procedure. Toronto Public Health's BodySafe program publishes inspection results. Health Canada warned in 2021 that microneedling pens and cartridges need a medical device licence.
